About

I like music. I like computers when they behave, and for that reason, I usually use Macs. I like to read. I like to talk politics, but you probably won’t want to hear what I have to say unless you already agree with me, in which case it’s pointless for us to talk politics. I like theatre when it isn’t pretentious, which is usually when it’s spelled “theater.” I have a degree in audio, which will get me on the bus if I move quietly and keep that big guy in the Harley jacket between me and the driver. I drive a PT Cruiser, which was still perceived as cool when I bought it and for the first 45 minutes. I used to install ceramic tile, but I don’t anymore unless a friend calls me in the middle of the night in tears. I like photography and know what an f-stop is, but not much else. I quote lines from movies I haven’t seen in ten years, but I probably can’t remember your name. I’ve been studying aikido since 2001, and hope to someday work my way up to “competent.” I like astronomy, and bought a small telescope on the theory that it doesn’t matter how big it is, but how you use it. I was wrong. I prefer the American Heritage Dictionary to anything called “Webster’s,” and the Encyclopaedia Britannica to Wikipedia. I ride a bike in the summer and ice skate in the winter. I still read the funnies in the back of the newspaper. When I’m procrastinating, I check my MySpace and Facebook accounts. When I’m really procrastinating, I update my website.
